National Governors’ Association Supports Oregon’s Need for Clean Electricity and Transmission

The Oregon Department of Energy has secured support from the National Governors’ Association’s Center for Best Practices to assist the state in increasing the pace and scale of electricity generation and transmission deployment for Oregon. These are areas that the Oregon Energy Strategy identified as critical to meet our state’s energy needs, and that Executive Order 25-29 directs agencies to advance. The NGA support serves to provide technical assistance, facilitation, and will result in a roadmap to inform the 2027 legislative session.
