Advocating for federal policies that advance state objectives

Agency director Janine Benner met with members of Oregon's Congressional delegation and U.S. Department of Energy officials in Washington, DC in February 2026 to share information about Oregon's Energy Strategy and make them aware of federal policies and activities that would affect progress on the five pathways. In particular, she shared the importance of federal funding to support state clean energy, resilience, affordability, and energy security activities.
