Sharing Perspectives on Energy with Gov. Kotek’s Prosperity Council
On March 20, 2026, ODOE submitted a response to Governor Kotek’s Prosperity Council’s survey, which will inform the Council’s work as they develop recommendations to strengthen Oregon’s business climate. ODOE’s response provided context on the importance of investments in electricity generation and transmission infrastructure to power economic activity and growth in Oregon, as identified in the Clean Electricity Pathway of the Oregon Energy Strategy. It highlighted the value of actions that can help meet energy demands in the near term like energy efficiency, batteries, demand-side flexibility, and grid-enhancing technologies. The response also drew on key findings from the energy strategy about the role that a revolving loan fund could play in leveraging increased investment in energy efficiency, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and other areas.
